Our bookkeeping services offer you full flexibility, we can do as much or as little as you, the client requires.  A complete bookkeeping package can include:

EITHER

The collection or digital submission of paperwork from you on a regular basis, followed by the preparation of your books in our Taunton office using Sage Line 50 Client Manager ready for submission to your Accountant and HM Revenue & Customs.

OR

A member of our team will work from your premises on a regular basis, using your Sage Line 50 software to prepare your accounts ready for submission to your Accountant and HM Revenue & Customs at the end of your financial year.

We can prepare creditors and debtor's lists to help you plan cash flow and chase any outstanding debts. If required, we can undertake payment of suppliers through Internet Banking on your behalf and prepare cheques for your signature. We can set up stock taking systems within your business. We prepare management reports to highlight profit and loss areas or projected cash flows for meetings with your Bank Manager. We can calculate, complete and submit your VAT returns online. All this will leave you with more time to concentrate on your growing business.

VAT RETURNS

ANNUAL ACCOUNTS

The preparation of regular Management accounts may be more appropriate for your business to focus on the real-time financial position, we can provide advice on the most suitable service for your business. 

AJM Accountancy & Bookkeeping Ltd will collate your accounts based on the information you provide, in either digital or paper form. Once processed, we can then discuss these with you, to ensure you have claimed all of your entitlements prior to submitting to HMRC.

We advise you give yourself sufficient time to prepare your accounts, our reminder service will prompt you throughout the year. 

TAX RETURNS

 

We provide both personal and business Tax return services. 

Submitting a Tax return to HMRC can seem daunting, our professional Tax team are available to assist with the accurate preparation of your return and digital submission to HMRC. Payment on account or payment/refunds on your behalf can also be arranged using our integrated HMRC compliant software packages. 

Using our Tax team can reduce the complexity of submitting a return, minimise the risk of overpayment and avoid unnecessary penalties.

PAYROLL

 

Payroll can be a time consuming process, however, it is becoming more and more necessary, even if you have the type of business where you consider your staff to be 'casual', 'part time' or 'sub contractors'. 

 

Legislation has greatly restricted the way in which we pay the people who work for us. Almost everyone should now be on a payroll, with just a few exceptions.


What we can do for you:

  • As a payroll bureau we can handle all paperwork.

  • Provide advice on the recent legislation changes which set out complex new rules about paying staff whether they are permanent, part time, casual or subcontractors.

  • Process all employer statutory payments, SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP and Holiday pay.

  • Receive information by fax or email to process employee salaries weekly or monthly

  • Print pay slips and fill in PAYE/National Insurance (P11) sheets. 

  • Develop and establish an electronic payment system.

  • Complete end of year P35/P14 submission to HMRC and print P60 forms for distribution to your staff.

CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY SCHEME

 

If you are in the Construction Industry and use subcontractors then you will need to comply with CIS legislation. We have several construction clients and are very experienced in accounting for CIS. 

Managing your CIS through AJM Accountancy & Bookkeeping Ltd will ensure accurate CIS deductions and submissions and avoid automatic penalties or fines.
